MAQPRO On Set Duo Palette (Designed by Nik Buck)
MAQPRO On Set Duo Palette (Designed by Nik Buck) - On Nik Buck's recommendations:
There are two types of maqpro to be found in this palette. HD format for the bases, and the ordinary format for the dirt.
Why? Because the sheerness and finesse of the HD is needed for base, but not for the dirt colours. HD Bases apply as you would any foundation, with a brush or sponge.
Apply with a brush or sponge and then move around and push into any cracks with a wet wipe. Good to leave gaps so it doesn't look like a mass of one colour. Use the black and brown to build up dirt colour. Add a little of the burgundy to enhance knuckles, noses and under the eye for a haunted look.
'Anything that means you don't need to take a hundred things to set is good!‰ۡó» Nik Buck - Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars, Dunkirk, GOT.
I wanted a palette that had HD bases and original style dirty down so its quick and easy to use. If you mix it with IPA on your brush you can get it nice and ground in all the cracks and then add the ruddy colour in with it where needed. I always like to have a black as well as dark brown because it's a good mix so it doesn't look too flat. Finally, if you're stuck, you are able to do a quick scuff or a quick bruise with colour 20 adding a little base for highlight."
